Let me tell you about Ely

Bright pink square with a subtle brush texture, and the words "Elena Castillo, aka Ely" written in a mint color on it.

Let me tell you about Elena Castillo, aka Ely. She’s one of my favorite characters ever. This firecracker of a person is awesome and unapologetic and I’m editing her book right now and living for it. Her story sizzles🔥

(Alex, her person, on the other hand, is a delicate character to write. You’ll understand one day soon).

Anyway. I’m currently editing their book, Done and Done and having so much fun. In fact, I very recently edited the following mini excerpt:

Ely had done a great job at one thing and one thing only since Ana’s birthday: avoiding Sandy.
For the past seven business days, she’d crossed paths with Alex in the office a few times. She’d used each time as an opportunity to evaluate his mood; each time, he’d nodded at her casually, no pressure or frown. She’d decided he’d simply been more drunk than he’d let on, and it had been the alcohol that had fueled his out-of-character moment with her. Maybe he didn’t even remember looking at her with fiery hazel eyes, or caressing her face as if he were just about to break and kiss her.

For reference, Sandy is Ely’s nickname for Alex. Because of reasons.

Also, I understand if you feel like sending me a message to let me know I’m mean for dropping an excerpt like that out of context and leaving it there. Don’t worry, I’d welcome such a note. I’d smile mischievously at it.

I canNOT wait for you to read their story. My current plan is to publish this story in March, bringing this short series to a close. Before that, though, I’m dropping a follow up novella to Seeking Stars, called Love in Times of Contempt. I hope to publish it in the next little bit; when exactly I’m not sure, because I’ve been  BUSY  hosting family and I haven’t been able to work on publishing. I’m back to it now, and keep an eye out for it, because it’s coming. SOON.
